How-To:

Method 1. Type Create a restore point in Search bar

  1. You can type Create a restore point from the left corner side of taskbar search box and select it from the search of results.

2. On the system properties Window select on system protection tab. Then check on Available Drivers and find the Operating System installed drive (Normally C drive). If the protection is Off, need to enable restore point feature for that drive. (For how to enable restore point, Click here). If the protection is On just click on the create button.

3. Give a description of the restore point and click Create.

4. When the process is over, you get a notification that The restore point was created successfully. Press Close.

 Method 2: using “sysdm.cpl” command

  1. Enter “sysdm.cpl” in the Run dialog box (For how to open run dialog box, Click here…)

2. On the system properties Window select on system protection tab. Next select computer system drive (Normally C drive) and check whether the create button is enabled or disabled. If it’s disabled, need to enable restore point. (For how to enable restore point, click here…). If it’s enabled just click on the create button

3. Give a description of the restore point and click create.

4. The System Protection wizard can take a while. When the process is over, you get a notification that “The restore point was created successfully. Press Close

 Method 3: Create a restore point accessing through control Panel

  1. Open the start menu, search for the control panel from the taskbar and select it from the search of results. (To know more ways to open the control panel, click here…)

2. On the Control Panel window, click on system and choose system protection

3. Once you’ve opened the System Properties window, in the System Protection tab, select your Windows 10 system drive (which usually is called C:). Then, to manually create a system restore point, click or tap the Create button. This action starts the System Protection wizard, which is designed to help you create a restore point for the selected drive.

4. Give a description for the restore point and click Create.

5. When the process is over, you get a notification window as below. Press Close.
