How-To:

Method 1. Open the System Configuration tool by launching a Run dialog box

Open Run dialog box. Now, type msconfig in text box and click OK as shown in the given picture.

Method 2. Open the system configuration tool by searching

Type system configuration on Cortana search bar. Then, click on system configuration as shown in the given picture to open msconfig.

Method 3. Open the System Configuration tool through Command Prompt

The System Configuration tool can also be started from the Command Prompt. All you have to do is launch Command prompt window, type msconfig, and then press Enter on your keyboard.

Method 4. Open the msconfig tool through Windows PowerShell 

Open Power Using Menu by pressing Windows + X key conjointly. Navigate and click Windows PowerShell. On the PowerShell window as shown below, input the command msconfig and press Enter.

  1. Open Control Panel. On the control panel find and click Administrative Tools (be sure that view by small icons/large icons).

2. In the Administrative Tools window, find and double click the System Configuration Shortcut to launch the msconfig.

Method 6. Open the msconfig tool by opening File Explorer

Open File Explorer and navigate to This PC\Local Disk (C:)\Windows\System32 folder.

In the System32 folder find and double-click on msconfig to access msconfig tool.
